The project "You are not me, but we are together" combined the work of two artists: the Kyiv artist Oleksiy Malykh and the original Bukovec master Hnat Chugay.

From October 21 to November 12, the exhibition Alter Ego is taking place in the large hall of the gallery. This is the long-awaited meeting of two artist friends: Oleksiy Malykh and Hnat Chugai, which, unfortunately, was delayed by the war for 7 long months. During the seven months of the war, both artists changed: they became stronger, matured, and found something new, because all this time they continued to create, supporting the Motherland in the holy battle with the cursed evil.

Oleksiy Malykh lived and worked in the Polish Carpathians, in the village of Yavornyk, an ancient place of meeting and cooperation of Polish and Ukrainian artists, there he wrote more than 60 new works, calling them "days" - "Day #1", "Day # 17", "Day # 35"... These are the days of war... And in each of his "days" he invested the secret ancient Carpathian magic of inevitable and devastating victory over the enemy, which was practiced by the Carpathian molfars from time immemorial, and which he learned in time from Hnat. Therefore, Oleksiy's "Days" force you to look closely, read strange signs, pronounce words of incomprehensible scripts, taste colors, and touch rays of light...
Hnat Chugai made his wooden amulets at home, in Bukovka, uttering mysterious, unheard-of orders over everyone, calling on the forces of light and good to defeat darkness.
In October, the artists met and united the forces of the Ukrainian and Polish Carpathians, mixed sacred signs-symbols of the sacred lands of Ukrainian Bukovets and Polish Yavornik.
Therefore, the new works complemented the exhibition planned even before the start of the war. And they gave it a completely different meaning. Because art is a really powerful weapon.
