The exhibition is built on contrasts and parallels between paper and wood, monochrome and flashes of color, it is a game of contrasts in everything.

Gallery of modern Ukrainian art "White World" presented the exhibition "Debris/Уламки" as a continuation of the curator's reflections on changing the optics of seeing works. The idea of debris can refer not only to irreversible damage, but also to fragments of a highly concentrated reality that has the potential to be reproduced and assembled into a complete picture, a complete story. The artists of the project - Maryna Bindich and Vasyl Bedey - come from different backgrounds, speak different artistic languages and belong to different communities. Marina is an artist who draws on paper, and Vasyl is a designer who knocks down pieces of wood and makes compositions from rusty nails. The exhibition is built on contrasts and parallels between paper and wood, monochrome and flashes of color, it is a game of contrasts in everything. But in the end, the statements of both artists answer the question: when we encounter debris, what do we do with it? Marina Bindich separates the debris from the surrounding noise and presents their images to the viewer for a new acquaintance — immersion in details, thoughtful and deep. Vasyl Bedey resorts to arbitrarily combining parts, unconventional interpretation of form and content and praises the roughness, asymmetry and authenticity of the fragments. This exhibition allows us to immerse ourselves in the game of contrasts of fragments, which at the same time distinguishes the artists and creates a tension between them that unites them.
