The art of martial law. Archive, Imagine point

Gallery of contemporary art The Naked Room presents a temporal
exhibition project entitled "The art of martial law. Archive". It
limited to time frames starting from February 24, 2022 and until
victories
The curatorial approach to changing the elements of the exhibition "over time" is connected with constant living of super-emotional events. The need for fixation (as reflections), the need to react instantly (as an act of personal resistance to Russian aggression) - all this prompts the authors to wait for war in real time in artistic space.
The curator of the project expressed similar views on the exhibition activity
"Muses are not silent" in Powder Tower (Lviv) - Pavel Gudymov, i
curator of the exhibition "UKRyttya" in the Imagine Point gallery (Kyiv) -
Ekaterina Dobrovolskaya. According to Olga Balashova - quickness
is understood as a part of collective experience, while it is common
traumatic experience made the language of art as never before close and
understandable to everyone.
It is noteworthy that some of the artists' works are exhibited in The Naked Room on the walls of the gallery, and the rest lie on the racks chaotically. Everyone can go to them touch, consider from different sides. However, it is symbolic conclusion of chaos, an example of how the visual component helps curb one's own fears and contradictions.
