What to hold on when the past is gone?
For a short and at the same time endless moment - February 24 - time stopped, and when it continued its course, it turned into "Historical TIME".
Kyiv Art Gallery opened an exhibition of Polina Kuznetsova "Times".
The exposition contains works of the so-called military series, the paintings were painted during a full-scale invasion.
The works of this period are overflowing with feelings, reflections, images that accompany Polina Kuznetsova and everyone who has gained experience of life during the "Time" of tectonic faults and great changes.

“The Phenomenon” is a work that has become one of the main ones in the exhibition. She talks about evil in its purest form. A symbolic child is depicted, in whose hands were toys capable of killing. And he kills, because otherwise he cannot and does not want to learn, to change, but follows the simple path of cruelty.

“Nausea” is a picture that attracts attention with the brightness of colors and sharpness of lines, tells about overflow.
Sooner or later, everyone has a moment when he has only one desire - to get rid of the negativity with which the information space is saturated, which is constantly in the air and penetrates deep into the subconscious.
There is a need to free yourself from this, almost in the literal sense.

During a full-scale war, Polina Kuznetsova was a refugee. She considers the experience gained huge and difficult to understand, if not lived through it. She showed those warm clothes that they gave her. They have become a symbol of that empathy, that care and assistance that other countries provide us with, which has become, among other things, one of the manifestations of the courage of our people - the courage to help each other.

We all now live in a time of change, every day there are events that radically change the lives of individuals and the whole nation.
"Time" is the artist's reflection on the war, on phenomena, episodes, changes.
