It has been a long-awaited project! In the summer we announced an open-call, invited Ukrainian artists to create works on the theme of popcorn, to expand this theme, to consider it metaphorically. And finally it happened!
Artists Viktor Deysun and Vasyl Zmievets in the traditional “for two” project for the gallery. The work in non-figurative painting unites them in the first place. Secondly, they are old close friends, and in this aspect the name of the exhibition acquires additional meaning: Yahotyn is not only the name of a Cossack city, it is a point of intersection, a place of meeting and communication of two artist-friends.
Oleksiy Malykh continues his curatorial project "You Are Not Me" for the Imagine Point Gallery, where he combines two stylistically different authors and encourages them to speak on a common theme - each with its own artistic language. This time Oleksiy tried to show the conflict - as a form of dialogue, a means of communication, and find a constructive in it. The Imagine Point gallery presents works by two renowned masters - Serhiy Hai, an exquisite colorist and plastic artist from Lviv, and Vladislav Shereshevsky from Kyiv, a master of deep and ironic painting.
The exhibition CAUTION! FRAGILE! starts on July 29, 2021 at the Imagine Point gallery. We present works by Kyiv artists Lyudmila Rashtanova, Serhiy Kornievsky and Eduard Potapenkov. Elusive time freezes in landscapes and images, in fragments of events and plots that make up the idea of human symbiosis with the world, the existence of society. The erroneous habit of identifying ourselves as a basic element makes us hostage to the circumstances. And what if the usual supports are destroyed?
The first joint exhibition of Ukrainian artists Oleksiy Malykh (Kyiv) and Olha Kuzyura (Lviv). Olekia's wooden objects, created from the old ones, in the early twentieth century house boards, ornamented with fragments of levkas, paintings and nails. Olga's monotypes are made in the technique of "blind embossing" on paper, where the matrices are both ancient artifacts and quite everyday objects.
The authors of the exhibition, Oleksandr Yanovych and Oleksandra Kryshovska, father and daughter, discuss with each other the creation and destruction of reality. Various media are used as arguments in the discussion - painting, sculpture and installation; intergenerational dialogue, both abstract and deeply emotional, touches on issues of separation and heredity, purpose and meaning, action and inaction.
